You should always measure the circumference at the widest point of the head. Then, measure off the head circumference on the sewing fabric, <strong>subtracting two centimetres.<\/strong> This is so the cap does not slide off your head.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"491\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-722 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ctnbee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_1437-1.jpg\" alt=\"How to sew a hat\"><br> <h2>How to sew a hat &#8211; folding the fabric<\/h2> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measure the <strong>height of the hat<\/strong> &#8211; for us, it was <strong>24 centimetres for a children&#8217;s cap<\/strong>. If you want to sew a larger hat, with the back of it slightly hanging &#8211; you have to measure a few additional centimetres.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"953\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-723 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ctnbee.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_1442-1.jpg\" alt=\"How to sew a hat\"><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The cap we sew also has a <strong>print on the underside<\/strong> &#8211; such a configuration does not cause any complications while sewing and looks impressive. In addition, it is warmer and fits flawlessly!
