What can waterproof fabrics be used for?

Waterproof fabrics can be used to design rainproof outerwear, garden furniture, beach and outdoor bags and backpacks. A lightweight raincoat is perfect for ponchos and capes that you can roll into your pocket or bag. This is a great material for thin, summer raincoats that will not weigh much in your bag. For warm, waterproof jackets, coats or ski suits, you can use a waterproof softshell, which will provide protection against water and wind, but will allow the skin to breathe.
