10 years of CottonBee: History, Challenges and Successes

10 years ago, in 2014, our CottonBee adventure began. The idea to start the company came from a personal need of co-founder Ania, who wanted to create beautiful bedding for her daughter, but encountered difficulties in finding the perfect pattern and quality fabric. This is how CottonBee was born – a place where anyone could find or create their dream designs.

Our path – how we have changed over the years

Initially, our range was limited to a few basic fabrics and only Polish language versions. We printed around 1,500 metres per month, which was a modest start. However, just three years later, we started launching language versions of our website: first in English, then German and French, which increased our production significantly.

2020 was a landmark year – we implemented a new production line and started printing on a Durst Alpha 5 Series industrial printer. This advanced technology enabled us to increase our production capacity several times and became one of the first of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. Today, we print on more than 50 different fabrics, including cotton, organic cotton, polyester, silk and viscose, and deliver our products to customers across Europe.

Over the past 10 years, we have gained numerous certifications such as GOTS and OEKO-TEX, and our achievements have been recognised in Forbes and the Deloitte Technology Fast50 ranking, among others.

Our social and environmental activities

At CottonBee, we are committed to sustainability and environmental protection. We are GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified, confirming our commitment to using ecological and health-safe fabrics. We use modern printing technologies that minimise our impact on the water environment by reducing our use of water and chemicals.

Our fabrics are carefully selected and produced with minimal impact on the aquatic ecosystem in mind. Additionally, as part of our environmental activities, we plant 1 square metre of forest for every metre of fabric ordered. This is our way of balancing our carbon footprint and supporting environmental protection and sustainability.

Favourite patterns and fabrics

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to experiment with various patterns and fabrics that have become our favourites. These include floral patterns, geometric shapes, abstract patterns, retro motifs and classic dots and stripes. Each of these motifs brings something unique to the designs.

And don’t forget our favourite fabrics: Satin, Gabardine, Single Jersey, Waterproof Softshell and Loopback Jersey. Cotton Satin combines a luxurious sheen with softness, Gabardine is durable and elegant, Single Jersey is stretchy and comfortable, Waterproof Softshell provides protection during outdoor activities and Loopback Jersey is warm and comfortable. Discover the uniqueness of our fabrics now!

Thank you for 10 wonderful years!

We want to sincerely thank you for being a part of our extraordinary fabric printing journey for 10 years. Your support, creativity and trust are an invaluable inspiration for us. Every project, every opinion, every idea you’ve given has contributed to making CottonBee the place we are proud to showcase today.

We look forward to many more years of working together and exciting new projects that we can do together. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities. We are excited about what the future holds!
